Aunt Betty’s house

When I was a kid, I had an Aunt Betty; She was our mother’s sibling, and she was one of the kindest people I have ever known, and i lost her several years ago, although I still suppose about her kindness and generosity of spirit.

I hope that she takes a moment to look down upon myself and others from time to time and that I meet her again someday.

I do know one thing for sure: if God gives us in heaven what both of us were lacking on earth, she will be having a great time lounging in a lovely locale with fantastic A/C, then my Aunt Betty, despite her difficult circumstances during life, was a fabulous woman, so much so that I never actually knew until I was grown how difficult her life actually was. She lived way down in the south, and she did not have A/C in her apartment at all. She did not even have A/C in the motorcar – not that it mattered because Aunt Betty didn’t learn to drive; When I look back on it now, I have concluded that our uncle was actually what would be considered abusive towards our appealing uncle Betty, and she did not allow her to go somewhere, but she was known to take off and go wherever she content, usually, that was anywhere with great HVAC, using rented cars that came with A/C! Aunt Bet was not allowed to drive. Whenever she wanted to visit us, she had to walk ½ a mile to the bus stop. She said she loved the odory neighborhood bus because it had A/C vents blowing cooling like crazy. I miss our uncle Bet and hope her next life has ceiling fans, box fans, a fireplace, a oil furnace, and most of all, great A/C.
