One thing that is great about the new smart thermostat I have is that it had a digital display that will let me know when the batteries are running low on it.
It gives this warning about 3 weeks before the batteries are going to die.
This way, I don’t have to rush out and buy new ones right away if I do not have the time. It is a very convenient feature of the smart thermostat. When it is starting to get to the point of needing new batteries it dims the light a little bit on the digital display, and the smart thermostat will read out the words “low battery – change soon”. I really like it. The other great thing about the smart thermostat is that the batteries are just your regular type batteries. They take 6 double A batteries and not some special thermostat battery like a wrist watch would use. That makes it even more convenient to get batteries for the smart thermostat when they are running low and I am getting that warning on the digital display. Also, the smart thermostat slips right off the wall so you don’t have to unmount it or anything like that when you change the batteries. Your central heating and air conditioning system will just need to be turned off for a brief few minutes while you change the batteries on the smart thermostat. And that is it. After that, it is all good and everything is back up and running with no problem at all. I really am in love with my smart thermostat!
