By accident tearing the gas line on our oil furnace

When we decided to build our house, we also decided to have a gas oil furnace installed in our house, both of us were convinced that using a gas oil furnace was a lot less high-priced than using an electric oil furnace, plus it would be easier to hook up a generator to use a gas oil furnace rather than an electric oil furnace; Our gas oil furnace is situated in the attic, but we have an unusually sizable attic, then the gas lines for our oil furnace run on top of the flooring, which means that we have to be careful to avoid tripping over or tearing the pipes that lead to the oil furnace! For several years, we had never had trouble with our oil furnace.

That was until yupterday… It was the end of summer, plus it was finally time to carry the cooling system upstairs plus switch to the oil furnace shortly! While carrying the cooling system upstairs, I was having a hard time seeing where I was walking.

I usually put the cooling system close to the door, but my wifey had put something there instead, then as I was carrying the cooling system, I tripped easily hard on the gas line to the oil furnace, tearing the seal. Immediately, the smell of natural gas flooded the attic. I closed the door plus ran downstairs, trying to call the Heating & Air Conditioning contractor to come right away. I knew that natural gas could cause an explosion in our house. The Heating & Air Conditioning contractor came out shortly, fixed the oil furnace, plus reminded me to be careful in the future. It wasn’t my fault that I had to put the cooling system in a new location
