For a long time the cooling in my cabin was just sub par.
I would turn down the temperature control & nothing would happen.
I changed the air filter, cleaned the inside of the cooling system & hoped for frosty air. The most I would get is tepid to cool air blowing around the house. That was the issue, the actual air coming out of the vents was not frosty enough. I did a lot of googling about the problem. All that did was terrify me though. I thought I might have a damper issue, wiring problem or need a brand current cooling system. Thankfully I took a few days & just thought about what could be going wrong. Rather than jump on the horn & have an cooling system corporation come over, I used my brain. I started looking over my outdoor air compressor & I realized that it was at an angle. It was not totally on its side, just slightly off centered. I then looked up if that could affect the indoor air handler cooling, however yes, when an outdoor unit is tilted, all the coolant pushes to a single side of the machine. Then when the A/C operates, no coolant is going over the air. So you then get tepid air inside of the home. All I needed to do was get a few cement blocks to level my A/C equipment out. It was almost immediate where I had frosty air once again. Thankfully I did not have an A/C corporation come in & repair this small issue. I figured it out on my own.
