Delivery to the HVAC warehouse turns up a party

Fridays are always busy at the pizza shop.

  • Between deliveries and dine-in orders, we are busy all morning and all afternoon.

I work in the dining room on Friday morning, but sometimes I run deliveries. When the regular delivery driver is booked with jobs, I’ll use my small car to deliver a few pies. Last Friday, we had a 60 Pizza Pie order to the HVAC Warehouse in town. This HVAC parts and supply warehouse opened last month. They must be having a party to celebrate the new company. Davis was already delivering a 20 pie order to the elementary school when the order came through. My boss and I worked fast to complete all of the pepperoni, sausage, veggie, and extra cheese pizzas. It took almost an hour to make and bake all of the pizzas. When the last pie came out of the oven, I pulled my car around to the front of the building. We loaded every one of the pies into my trunk and I headed over to the HVAC parts and supply warehouse. It only took 12 or 15 minutes to make the drive. Traffic was really light, especially for a Friday afternoon. When I arrive to the warehouse, someone was outside waiting for me to arrive. I helped the guy carry all of the pizzas into a large room that was filled with balloons, streamers, and other various party supplies. They were clearly having a huge celebration. The guy asked if I wanted to stay and have a slice of pizza, but I knew I was too busy to stay.
