Don found out the AC technician hadn’t installed the smart thermostat properly

Don was due to fly out of the country and had a million things to do before the day of his flight.

He would return a month later from the business trip.

On his list of things to do were several crucial errands. Apart from that, he had two appointments with technicians to come and fix several things in the house. The first person who came to the house was an AC technician. Don had an old thermostat which he was finding cumbersome to use. He wanted a smart thermostat installed in the house, which was why the AC expert came. After the job was complete, Don did several other things and left for his business trip. When he came back, it was summer, and the heat was intense all over. He went straight to the AC system in his home and turned it on. However, the thermostat wasn’t working as he had hoped. It was set on heat mode, and Don tried in vain to switch the smart thermostat to cool mode. Don was disappointed because it seemed the AC mechanic had not installed the thermostat correctly. Don placed a call to the AC supplies and repair company to complain. The owner was apologetic for that and promised Don another HVAC expert would fix the issue. However, Don had to wait until the next day for the aircon specialist to arrive at his house and fix the smart thermostat. He noted that the previous air conditioner professional hadn’t completed the wiring process, which was why the smart thermostat wasn’t working as expected. Once the air conditioner worker completed the repair, he put everything back and got ready to test the smart thermostat. This time Don was not in a hurry and made sure it was working before the AC technician left.
