Having hard water is a big problem.
It affects everything it comes into contact with, including appliances, fixtures, dishes, linens, skin and hair, and when all of us bought our house, all of us knew there was a water well on the property.
As first-time house clients, all of us were sad that there was a sufficient water supply. It didn’t occur to us to test the style of the water, and since moving in, we’ve hired many plumbers and have invested into a variety of water softening options, then our water is so horribly overrun with rust, lime and assorted minerals and contaminants that none of these devices have proven effective. Some of them run us out of water due to an extensive cleaning process, but because of our hard water, I need to use special shampoo and conditioner. Otherwise, our blonde hair turns orange. All of our white bedding, towels and clothing has become discolored, hard water makes it strenuous to get soap suds which requires us to use more dish soap, hand soap and laundry detergent. I also deal with a good deal of soap scum and stains in the sinks and toilets. The severe chemicals required to scrub those stains supply me poor headaches. I suppose that the faucets, shower heads, toilets, washing machine and water oil furnace won’t last as long as they should. We need to replace the water oil furnace every multiple to multiple years. I gave up trying to run the dishwasher. The plates and glasses came out looking worse and had to be hand washed to detach the spots. The strenuous water creates problems with dry skin, fuzzy hair and even has a drawback impact on our teeth. Having hard water is costing us a good deal of time, money and work.
