I’ve been working at an HVAC company for most of my adult life. I started legitimately working at our local heating and cooling business back when I first got out of high school and I just ended up staying there. It’s not like I ever planned on being at an HVAC company for my whole life, but it just kind of happened, one thing that I can say about this job, though, is that it’s never boring. I meet new people all the time and I have seen some crazy things over the years. One of my favorite parts of going out on HVAC repair and service calls is doing vent cleaning. I like cleaning out ventilation ducts. I guess that sounds kind of weird, but the funny thing is that I find all kinds of crazy stuff in air vents and ductworks. Once I found a rubber ducky sitting all alone in one of the air vents. It just makes you think how in the world some of this stuff ever got in there. I usually find lots of make-up, glitter, stickers, crayons, and small animal toys. Once in a while, I find something like a sweater or a shoe stuck down in an air vent or a heating ducts. The craziest thing I ever found was an old bag full of money! It looked savor it had been crammed into the ductwork years ago, plus the homeowner had no plan that it was in there. They were having trouble with their heating and cooling coming out correctly, and the reason was because this bag of money was blocking the airflow.
