Freezing cold while getting a tattoo

I was really nervous when I got my first tattoo.

They say you shouldn’t drink first because it thins your blood.

Besides, good tattooist won’t tattoo you if they think you are too drunk to know what you are doing. And you bet that I did my research and found a very good tattooist. When the day of my appointment finally came I brought my best friend with me and braced myself for a bit of pain. I don’t know if it was my nerves or the heater just wasn’t turned up very high but I was freezing cold and shaking the whole time. The tattooist gave me a blanket and kept asking if I wanted to proceed. I said yes but I was so cold. My friend said it wasn’t that cold but that didn’t help matters. By the time my tattoo was done, my lips were blue. Other than that, it wasn’t that bad, really. Possibly because I was too cold to feel pain, I don’t know. I do know that I just wanted to go home afterwards and relax next to the furnace vents for the rest of the day. Initially, my friend and I had planned on celebrating a little but we decided to postpone those plans for another day. Once home I did, eventually, get warm again but not until I cranked my furnace up to 85 degrees. I ended up falling asleep in the warmth. Then I woke up a few hours later and was roasting hot but feeling much better. I am glad I got the tattoo done though. It looks amazing.
