I have been doing this for the last 5 years or so, and I do pretty well for myself. There isn’t a local heating and air conditioning dealership or company in the area, so with me being here in business for myself, I really can make decent money. The only thing happens to be, that with the amount of HVAC repair business that I get, I always end up running out of spare HVAC parts! I am so happy I was able to get a deal with this one HVAC supplier in the next city over. They are a wholesaler that usually deals only with certified major heating and air conditioning dealerships and businesses. However, because I was able to talk a good game to them, they treat me as if I was one of those major heating and air conditioning businesses that they usually supply spare parts to. I am certified, and I have shown them my HVAC certification, so I believe that it helped a lot in me becoming one of their businesses that they service. At first, I think they thought I was just some do it yourself guy looking to get things for discounted prices. That’s the way they treated me before I drove over there in person, presented my heating and air conditioning specialist licence and certification and proved to them that I was doing well as an independent heating and air conditioning contractor. So if you are an independent HVAC contractor like me, find an HVAC supplier to strike a deal with for your spare parts!
