The last 65 years of our life has been spent in a single locale.
- Can you believe that? I grew up, went to school and then school then settled down separate from ever going more than 20 miles from where I was born.
I lived it and I can hardly believe it. I raised our family only miles from where I grew up. While I have been away for trip, I have never left this area for more than a month at a time. All of that is getting ready to change. No more Heating and A/C gas furnace killing winters for me. I am headed south and embarking on our first real adventure of our life. Unfortunately, our dear hubby of 43 years won’t be joining me. I lost him almost a year ago. My teenagers are all down south so, that’s where I’m heading. There are so several familiar things which I will miss dearly. But Wintertide is not a single of them. I am ready to transport to the land of the heat pump and mild winter. My kid found me a nifty little beach house to live in. The price was right and it had an added benefit I wasn’t even expecting. There is a sunroom affixed to the back of the cabin. And, it has its own Heating and A/C unit! There is something called a ductless mini chop plan in there. Apparently, this thing can heat and cool that sunroom separate from the rest of the house. So, if there is a brisk day, I can’t crank up the heat to knock the chill off. However, the biggest need will be in the summer. Without cooling system that sunroom would roast a man alive. I’m distraught to leave our home and all I’ve known our whole life. But, I can’t wait to hold our grandbabies in that sunroom!
