I care about cats.
In fact, I care about all pets.
That’s why I have consistently been super lenient about our pet policy for our condo rentals. However, our last tenant has almost made me change our mind. I I knew they had a 30 lb cat when they moved in but I did not realize that our tenants obviously did not believe in using a vacuum cleaner. When they moved out, there was cat hair everywhere. It was super embedded into the carpet and the Heating and Air Conditioning plan was also full of cat hair. When I say the Heating and Air Conditioning plan was full of cat here I mean it was full of cat hair. It was in the HVAC duct and trapped in the vents and even inside of the Heating and Air Conditioning component itself. I haven’t even mentioned yet how full of cat hair the air filter was. It was disgusting. It looked love a dryer filter after using the dryer for numerous weeks separate from decreasing it. Of course, I called in our familiar Heating and Air Conditioning supplier to come and clean out our entire Heating and Air Conditioning system. I also had them do a thorough HVAC duct clean. The foreman told me I was lucky that our tenants moved out when they did. If our Heating and Air Conditioning plan had gone on a little bit longer, being that dirty, it would not have survived. Now I’m worrying about our other Heating and Air Conditioning systems in our other rental houses. Most of our tenants have cats or cats. I suppose I’m going to beginning scheduling Heating and Air Conditioning maintenance at least once a year for all of our rental properties. That will be a lot cheaper than replacing our Heating and Air Conditioning systems anyway.
