HVAC Seasonal Maintenance is Worth the Money Spent

Each time I pick up the phone to make an HVAC service call, I think to myself that perhaps it’s time to join the HVAC service program.

I hate paying for stuff like that because I feel like I am paying for something that I am unable to actually see or use.

I’m weird like that. However, I did a bit of research to get a better picture of what HVAC maintenance actually does for a homeowner. The first thing I saw was sure a ringing endorsement for paying for HVAC maintenance. 85 percent of all repairs on heating and cooling systems are totally avoidable. That was shocking considering a service call is nearly as expensive as the semi annual maintenance program. Regular maintenance will also add longevity to an HVAC system. Going without that maintenance can rip nearly 6 years of life off the heating and cooling system. That was the convincing point for me. Our HVAC unit is only 3 years old. My thinking was why maintain something that is brand new? Well, having done my research, I could not be more wrong. The correct perspective would be to provide excellent care for something that cost so much money. The HVAC system is an integral part of our home so skimping on maintenance is just not a good idea. So, I called up the HVAC company and signed on for seasonal maintenance. The heating and cooling guy came out two days later. I was actually quite impressed with the amount of time and attention the HVAC tech took with our heating and cooling system.
