I forgot to add my social security number to the application

I have been very busy filling out applications for jobs.

I finished HVAC technical school a few weeks ago, and I have been turning in applications all over town.

Most of the HVAC companies want to hire someone with experience, but I just finished school. I found a couple of places willing to hire me with no experience. I must have filled out 10 or 12 applications in the first week. One of those applications was for a furnace repair technician. They had paper applications in the store, which is much different than some of the other HVAC companies. Most of them wanted me to fill out an application online and wait to hear back. I think it’s better to fill out a paper application in the store, because the company gets to see my face and hear my voice. It’s a great way for them to remember a face with the name on the application. A few days after I finished my job search, I received a telephone call from one of the local HVAC companies. They wanted to call me for an interview, but there was some missing information on my application. When the guy told me that I forgot to enter my social security number, I was dumbfounded and flabbergasted. I couldn’t believe I forgot to fill out one simple line. Luckily, the owner of the HVAC company didn’t care about the mistake and wanted to give me an opportunity to prove my skills. I have an interview set up on Monday and I hope this will be the one.
