I got a heat pump instead

I am officially done with Wintertide as I have come to think it.

The months upon months of dealing with high temps that never reach above cold are over.

The shovels, snow plows as well as ice melt are also a thing of the past. I’m not even going to sell them. I think I’ll provide all that stuff to the young couple down the street. They are just starting out as well as could use them. But, where I’m going, I don’t even need a oil furnace anymore. I can hardly think it. We have raised our family, completed our job objectives as well as are ready to move on. Retirement down south awaits. I am no longer going to have to worry about whether the oil furnace will make it through the ugliest part of Wintertide without a breakdown. I won’t even have a oil furnace where I’m living next. In fact, the Heating as well as Air Conditioning idea the two of us will be relying on does all of the heating as well as the cooling. Of course, I am talking about the heat pump. It is such a flexible machine. The temps in our new community are super scorching for about 3 months while in the summer. The heat pump will do a super efficient job of cooling the apartment while in that stretch. However, the other 9 months, the weather as well as the temps are glorious. There is still a bit of a Wintertide the two of us will still encounter. I think I can handle the occasional low in the upper 30’s. I’m told the heat pump does an amazing job of warming a beach apartment while in the Wintertide down south. I can’t imagine I will need it all that much. But, I sure am ecstatic to trade the oil furnace for it.
