I offered my boss lots of warning about the AC

Six months ago, my boss promoted me to the night shift director job. I got many dollars an fourth more cash and keys to the store. It’s my responsibility to lock up at night and take all of the cash to the bank for deposits. I have a routine that I follow every night so I never forget to complete the job officially. At the end of the shift, I carry the deposits in a lock safe bag. I lock all of the doors in the back of the building, turn off the lights and the A/C temperature control, and head out the door before the alarm sounds. I have about 45 fourths to complete the tasks and then the alarm will sound if I do not have the front door closed and locked. My boss made me complete the routine three separate times before he agreed to promote me. It costs $250 bucks if the alarm contractor has to be called due to an employee error. Some of afternoons ago, I turned off the temperature control and noticed the indoor temperature was 72, but I set the temperature at 69. I thought it was strange, but I didn’t have time to stop and check anything. I forgot about the problem the next day until I was getting ready to leave at the end of the night. I noticed the same unusual temperature anomaly, so I left a note for my boss the next day. That was many afternoons ago and this week the A/C stopped working completely. I tried to warn my boss about the A/C troubles. He still seemed shocked and surprised to learn the news.
