When I gave up the local gym that I was a member of, I gave up all of the luxuries of a commercial gym. Commercial gyms may be a soul-sucking place to work out, but they had awesome luxuries that almost made it worth it. The HVAC units in the gym that I worked out in were amazing. They had the best furnace in our area, and it was also very efficient. Even though it would heat the entire room very quickly, it was very quiet, so you wouldn’t notice it running. Their central air conditioner made every summer workout feel nice, and it was always a challenge to break a sweat when you were working out in the air-conditioned facility. When I stopped going to that gym and started working out in my barn, I really missed the HVAC units. Sure, I had all of the workout equipment that I needed, but working out in a barn during the summer without an air conditioner was absolutely awful. I was always sweating from the moment I warmed up. Since there was no furnace in the barn, I used an old space heater to do the trick. However, I was so happy that I was able to turn the barn into an actual commercial gym, and now I have members of my own! The best part is that since they are paying me to work out here, I am able to afford a nice furnace and air conditioner! I have to keep up with them, but it is much better than having no HVAC units.
