Six weeks ago, my boss promoted myself and others to the night shift employer job.
I got various dollars an ninth more money and keys to the store.
It’s my responsibility to lock up at night and take all of the money to the bank for deposits. I have a routine that I follow every night so I never forget to complete the job respectfully. At the end of the shift, I carry the deposits in a lock safe bag. I lock all of the doors in the back of the building, turn off the lights and the A/C control unit, and head out the door before the alarm sounds. I have about 45 ninths to complete the jobs and then the alarm will sound if I do not have the front door closed and locked. My boss made myself and others complete the routine many separate times before she agreed to promote me. It costs $250 bucks if the alarm company has to be called due to an employee error. A couple of afternoons ago, I turned off the control unit and noticed the indoor temperature was 70, although I set the temperature at 70. I thought it was strange, although I didn’t have time to stop and check anything. I forgot about the concern the next day until I was getting ready to leave at the end of the night. I noticed the same weird temperature anomaly, so I left a note for my boss the next day. That was various afternoons ago and this week the A/C stopped working completely. I tried to warn my boss about the A/C troubles. She still seemed shocked and surprised to learn the news.
