I have a friend who is just truly the picture of total self-reliance. Well, that is until just recently. This guy, whom I’ve known for nearly 40 years, has been a true maverick his entire life. He’s never been 1 to shoot for the corner office with the zone controlled heating plus A/C. Nope, he has always been about self sufficiency plus living as simply as possible for a person. And no, he’s not doing it for any other reason than it’s how he wants to live his life. He doesn’t judge anyone else for their choices plus that is so refreshing for sure. My buddy lives in a neat house on like 50 acres. He has a sizable garden plus some livestock. His heating plan for the Wintertime has been a wood stove plus his a/c is some shade plus as much breeze as he can ever catch. However, we are aging plus with that comes some legitimate change. He recently found out about a pretty major health problem he’ll have to deal with. Other friends plus I rallied around him. We got the rest of his wood for heating chop plus put up and stored. And we are taking turns making sure he gets to appointments plus gets some overnight care if he needs it. This guy has always been there for all of us. It’s enjoyable that we can be there for him. None of us decided to get the heating plus A/C company to go out plus install a ductless heat pump for this Wintertime if he can’t make a fire. Like I said, he’s been there for us so getting him access to some heating plus A/C heating is small potatoes.
