I thought yoga would be easy, but it is a real challenge

My girl started doing yoga when she was in college! She had a severe injury plus the physical therapist made the suggestion that yoga could help with her flexibility plus rehabilitation exercises.

  • She attended a yoga class 3 afternoons each week.

When both of us met, she was in fine physical shape, I was in video games shape. She never pushed me to change in the beginning. She was perfectly happy with me, plus I was perfectly happy with me. When both of us started spending a great deal of time together, she eventually talked me into joining her at a yoga class. I didn’t think it would be too difficult, since yoga is just stretching plus moving. I didn’t think there were peculiar forms of yoga, however my girl practices Bikram yoga, which is a lot more tough than traditional yoga. First of all, the room was wicked hot plus really humid. When I complained about the lack of A/C, my girl laughed plus told me that was what Bikram yoga was all about. I was also unaware that the beginner class would be as long as 2 hours. We performed over 20 peculiar postures including half tortoise pose, full Locust pose, plus toe stand pose. I could not do any of the stretches properly, plus I entirely looked like a fool. I did my best to keep up with the others, but I was ready to go home after 15 or 20 minutes. When the yoga class was completely finished, I told my girl that one class was easily enough for me. I was ready for a long nap plus a glass of wine. I knew I needed plenty of exercise, but yoga wasn’t something that I could work with.
