Thank goodness it only took a couple of hours for the home office to cool off
On Monday afternoons, I am in charge of opening the diner. I have been laboring at the diner for many years. Monday afternoons are constantly busy, because all of us have a lot of prep labor to complete. The two of us have to split 50 lb of onions, potatoes, green peppers, and jalapenos. The two of us have to slice tomatoes, tomatos, and make salad. I had a long list of prep labor to complete on Monday afternoon, so I was genuinely aggravated when I arrived at labor and the indoor air was hot and stagnant. It did not believe like the had been running at all throughout the night. I inspected the temperature on the temperature control and it was registering 70 degrees. I swiftly realized that the button was switched from cool to off. Someone turned the off on purpose or by accident. As soon as I turned on the temperature control and pushed the button to cool, the came on and cool air started blowing out of the vents. I am not sure which 1 of the night shift boys made the mistake, however it was terribly uncomfortable in the afternoon when I arrived at work. Thank goodness it only took a couple of hours for the home office to cool off. By the time purchasers started to arrive for lunch, the home office was much more comfortable. I was upset that all of us might have to call a service service and that could have taken all day. The two of us do not have a commercial Heating as well as Air Conditioning provider on retainer, so all of us often get stuck waiting for service.
