Keep it cool, car

I have to say I’m a little bit scared to drive my car sometimes.

It’s getting pretty old and I’m not really sure when it’s going to break down.

It runs well for the most part but I have had some strange transmission issues in the past. These days it just makes the whole lot of noise as we come rolling down the street. It sounds like the whole thing might fall apart. So far so good but my fingers are crossed every morning when I climb aboard. I will say the one thing that has never disappointed me has been the onboard heating and cooling system. I know that’s not the most luxurious thing to care about in the car, but to me just having basic Air Temperature Control feels like a huge deal. See, my last car didn’t even have working windows. All four of them were taped up. You can imagine how well my heating and air conditioning worked with a less-than airtight car like that. The air conditioner at self worked intermittently depending on the day and its mood. It certainly wasn’t the most high-powered cooling system. It was probably worse that the heater had a similar attitude. I lived in the far north of the country and winter cold was no joke. It was not uncommon to have snowfall every single day of the week that amounted to feet of snow and then got covered in a nice firm, coating of ice. that meant you needed some heat on board to keep your windshield from freezing over. I can tell you what isn’t the most ideal circumstances when it comes to car ownership and safe driving… trying to throw anti-freeze on your windshield as you drive down the highway.
