I bought an electric fireplace for the holiday season last year and I have to say that within this past year having the electric fireplace, it has been wonderful. Not only did it bring great essence to the atmosphere in our home, but the electric fireplace also worked well as a large space heater for the living room all winter long. We were able to reduce the use of the central heating and air conditioning system’s heater by using the fireplace instead while we were awake. We only use the central heating and air conditioning system’s heater when we went to bed at night because the bedrooms do not have any kind of electric fireplace. This has reduced our energy bill by a whole ton believe it or not. I never would have imagined that the electric fireplace would end up being an energy saver too! I had no idea that it had the power to be able to heat the entire living room area like it does. So that was more or less a bonus. I really love our electric fireplace. There is nothing else like it in the whole wide world. And on top of all of that, we actually got the electric fireplace on sale! Not something that happens every day. Having this electric fireplace is possibly the best investment I have made in a very long time. And when making the investment had no idea that I was going to get so much out of the electric fireplace.
