The other day, my kid came home from school complaining that it was freezing cold the whole day.
I was just humoring him and acting like I felt bad, because I was just assuming that he was being a kid complaining about the cold outside. However, I found out that was not what he was talking about! It seemed that the school had lost their heating system that day. I was a bit angry after finding this out, because they should have sent the kids home from school for the day! My kid is in 4th grade, and being that young, they should not have to be subjected to freezing cold temperatures if the school’s commercial heating system broke down! I called the school right away to complain. They apologised up and down, and they were assuring me that they were going to have a heating and air conditioning specialist out to fix their commercial heating system by the end of the day. The next morning when my kid got up for school, I actually gave them a call to confirm that the heating was fixed. If it wasn’t, I was going to keep my kid home from school for the day so he could feel great with our own central heating system here at home. The school reported good news that they had their commercial heating system fixed, and that everything was back to normal. I was happy to hear this, and so was my kid! I hope if their heating ever breaks down again, they will send everyone home for the day.
