My mother cried when I said I did not want to go to school.

My mother & father were from the aged country & all they wanted was for their youngsters to be successful. When they said successful, they meant we needed to go to school & become either a dentist or a lawyer. There was nothing in between. When I told Mom & mom I didn’t want to go to school, my mom cried. She sobbed so loudly that I was sure the neighbors thought someone had died. I tried to comfort her, however he pushed me away. She didn’t want to talk to me until I came to my senses… Mom wasn’t quite as frustrated. He sat at the table & stared at me. He wanted to suppose what I wanted to do? I told him I wanted to be an Heating & A/C professional. He said nothing. His eyes didn’t even battach. I wanted to see if there were any holes in my skin because of his stare. He asked why I wanted to be an Heating & A/C professional? I didn’t suppose how to answer the question, except to tell him I thought it was an fair & lucrative profession, however being an Heating & A/C professional would bring me joy & I could help others while doing the job. He nodded & said he would talk to my mother. My announcement devastated her, however once he understood what I wanted to do, I would make his proud. I wasn’t so sure my father was right, even though I would wait for his to talk to me. An hour later, he pressed his lips to the top of my head & said that if I wanted to be an Heating & A/C professional, he would support my decision. She handed me a check to cover the amount of university tuition.
