In a few weeks, I am helping our mother move into her brand current condo.
It’s a single story Villa genre loft with one kitchen, one lavatory, plus a screened in lanai in the back that overlooks a golf club.
Since she will be living with herself for the time being, this small and extremely cozy loft has everything she needs. The home office plus home office are linked so she can watch TV while she cooks. While she has the freedom of a small home, she has all of her outdoor maintenance covered by the loft association fee. It includes a variety of things such as mowing, weeding, edging, trimming, sidewalk care, plus roof care. Despite the fact that she enjoys this current place, she is upset that she won’t have a place for relatives to stay if they want to visit. Because there is no guest kitchen, the best she could offer was the couch in the already jammed up home office, then that’s when both of us both had the method to convert the lanai into a different place of the kitchen. All she needed to do was substitute the plastic windows with high quality glass windows plus add insulation plus drywall in a few areas before finishing it off with a current paint work. But, both of us were immediately presented with an important issue. The two of us still didn’t think how we were going to heat or cool this current room. The two of us consulted with a local HVAC specialist to go over some of our options. The initial thought came to mind was putting in a portable a/c for the Summer season and a section gas furnace for the Wintertime season. Instead, the HVAC specialist said both of us should install a ductless mini chop which handles both heating plus cooling. They’re harshly efficient plus are built to stick around. The danger from an overheating section gas furnace is completely done away with as well. The two of us pulled the trigger and are awaiting replacement later on.
