Ever since the two of us purchased this house, it’s had this entirely different smell.
- It’s not a bad smell.
It’s just a different flowery smell that I don’t particularly care for. The people I was with and I have the carpets professionally cleaned as well as the two of us disinfect down all of the surface areas however the smell remains. The people I was with and I could not figure out where it was coming from until the two of us finally changed the air filter in our Heating as well as Air Conditioning system. That’s when the two of us discovered that the air filter had a little air freshener clipped onto it. It seems like the air freshener was made for this exact purpose. Needless to say, the air filter as well as air freshener went into the trash. Our new air filter has carbon in it so it should detach the remainder of the flowery smell. however now I’m starting to wonder why old homeowners needed an air filter air freshener to begin with. I hope there’s not some underlying stench in her new home that the two of us have not noticed, probably not though. I’m hoping they just like the smell of fake flowers. I think the two of us would have noticed it if there was mold or decay in the new home by now. The people I was with and I are thinking about getting the ductwork all cleaned out in our Heating as well as Air Conditioning method though too. That hasn’t been done yet. I hate the method of somebody else’s old dust blowing around in my home. It’s time to make this new home completely ours. We’ll absolutely get the whole Heating as well as Air Conditioning method cleaned as well as oiled while we are at it. it seems to be in great shape as well as we had like to keep it that way. Owning our first home is stressful however I’m so ecstatic the two of us did it. Now the two of us just need to get one thing done at a time.
