Not too sure about the HVAC ventilation in my new home

The feeling of finally being a homeowner was just as sweet as I thought it might be.

This was my first home after a decade and more in many poorly HVAC controlled apartments.

To top that, it was actually a brand new home as well. I was simply ecstatic to have my own HVAC in my own house. The house is nicely HVAC maintained. Well, mostly that is. I am finding that there is a bit of an HVAC concern that took me a bit to figure out. I think I was so carried away with moving into a new home that the HVAC problem got by me. It appears that the HVAC ventilations design was supposed to be for another floor plan option. I think what I have as far as HVAC vent placement is meant for an entirely different floor plan. The vents for the HVAC are just not in the places that they should be. I went to the builder’s website to check all of the different floor plan options for my type of home. Once I did that, it was pretty easy to see that someone just made an error. Fortunately, when I brought it up with the builder, they were receptive to what I was saying. Without admitting any error, they have been willing to work with me. Completely changing the entire ductwork is probably out of the question. However, they have been willing to add some vents where they can and employ zone control HVAC fittings to force more HVAC treated air from certain vents.
