I recently bought a fixer upper home, but the worst section of the house is the dining room. The entire room was made out of wood plus looked care about an outdated barn… I started ripping out the wood floors plus replaced them with tile. I then sanded the wood walls plus painted over them with white. The next step was scraping the snacks ceiling plus painting that white… Right now I am up on super high ladders trying to edge around wood beams plus paint my ceiling white. Being up high in the air has shown myself and others some things wrong in my house, then not only is it filthy up there, however it is super hot. The heat certainly rises in my house plus lingers there. I am already worried about heating in the wintertime! My tall ceilings are not going to be fun. Basically the heat will be 12 feet in the air while I freeze at a normal level. What is even more worrisome is that I discovered all the air vents are high on the ceiling. In the Summer having A/C blowing super high in the air is not going to be any good. I won’t even know it. I also peaked down into the vent plus noticed the HVAC duct is off center. The opening for the air vent is not perfect; So that means I am not even getting all the frigid air my HVAC produces! How horrible is that? I am going to have a whole mess of HVAC related concerns once I finish up in the dining room. I am already dreading it.
