I have to get up butt early now in order to work out.
When I first moved down south I didn’t believe the stories about how hot it gets.
I figured being from the north would mean that hot weather would just feel good. I didn’t even bother buying an air conditioner when I first got my house. After a few weeks of summer heat, I caved and bought a central air conditioner system. I chose to save money and not extend the home ductwork into my lanai. The lanai has screened windows that can open, no AC system. I have regretted cheaping out on that AC install ever since. Working out with no AC in a southern summer is horrible. The heat comes early and lingers all day long. I typically like to work a few hours and then begin my work out. That would put me at around noon or one. The heat gets to be in the 90s by then and the humidity is just horrible. I feel like I can’t breathe, have no energy, and I just drip with sweat the whole work out. Right now my only solution is to get up super early to beat the heat. I have to wake up around 7 AM and right away begin. If I do an hour work out and quit by 8, I am already feeling the heat come around. Starting off working out is no fun. My muscles are sore from sleeping, I am groggy and I don’t get the best work out. I wish I would have gone the extra mile to have A/C everywhere in my house.
