Restaurants are saving on heating and cooling costs – togo only

I have to say, I am not too exasperated with the way that the world is right now in post-pandemic land.

As someone who suffers from social anxiety and occasional agoraphobia, I don’t have a large problem with staying indoors and avoiding other humans.

I kind of like the contactless grocery shopping and food delivery services that have abruptly cropped up because of this need for social distancing. I am easily wondering if the world will stay this way once coronavirus is eradicated. I have been thinking, a lot of companys are easily saving a ton of money on their utility bills and Heating and Air Conditioning expenses due to these supplier practice fluctuations. Because steakhouses haven’t been allowing people to dine in their facilities, I suppose that they have been able to turn off their central heating and cooling systems for the most part. They don’t have to be so nervous about maintaining a cool and clean indoor environment with their ventilation systems because they don’t have any guests inside. I am sure they still need to operate a/cs and gas oil furnaces for the employees in the actual living room. However, this could be a much lower energy expense each month since the volume of indoor air is so severely reduced. I am willing to bet that most steakhouses could get away with a few A/C window units in the living room rather than purchasing, cleaning, maintaining, and operating a big commercial cooling system. With so more than 2 companys transitioning to outdoor to-go ordering, I have to suppose that they’re more energetically efficient and less reliant on professional commercial Heating and Air Conditioning repairs than ever before… Maybe the people I was with and I will not ever go back to the ancient way of dining.
