It sound unusual still when it comes out of my mouth, then but I own a home with a single of my friends! This is for sure an peculiar situation but a single born out of necessity more than anything else at all; While my co-homeowner is a friend, both of us aren’t exactly best friends which is sort of ideal. The two of us were both sick of the lack of great quality heating plus air in our respective apartments. The two of us were both sick of paying rent instead of building equity, but and both of us were both short on a downpayment, and so both of us decided to pool our resources. The nice thing is that both of us aren’t close enough not to make it legal, but in other words, both of us both wanted to protect our investment plus had zero qualms about seeing a lawyer to make that happen. The two of us share a kitchen but other than that, both of us live separately on separate floors. The first thing both of us had to do was to address the heating plus cooling as the central air conditioning was shot. The two of us chose to go with a ductless multi split heating plus cooling system. I have many upstairs plus my co-owner has many downstairs. And there is a single ductless heat pump in the kitchen. I love having the ductless heat pump as they are super efficient since there is no HVAC duct to diminish Heating plus Air Conditioning device efficiency. Additionally, having the ductless heat pumps allow us full independence when it comes to the thermostat setting of our living space. I assume that was key for myself and others since I care about a bit more air conditioning than my friend. While it may sound a bit weird, this situation has worked out remarkably well.
