I have been laboring for an HVAC supplier for over 20 years now & have mastered almost every aspect of air conditioners, furnaces, & boilers you can guess of, everyone at work respects myself and others & if they have any questions about how to maintenance an HVAC component they come to me, then recently, our HVAC supplier hired a new recrewt who was straight out of college, & he thought he knew everything there is to suppose about HVAC units just because he had read about them in an HVAC textbook, a lot of the HVAC specialists who have been laboring here for a long time were getting entirely annoyed with this kid’s cockyness, & they asked myself and others to take him along on a single of my HVAC jobs & show him how little he entirely knows about air conditioners & furnaces, i decided to listen to them & took the child with myself and others on a job.
On our way there he would not shut up about what he had l received about air conditioners in college, he literally thought he knew it all, while I will agree that his child knew a lot about HVAC units, I wanted to see if he could put his proficiency to great use on this furnace both of us were on our way to fix.
When both of us arrived at the furnace, I told the kid, using textbook terms, what was wrong with the furnace & then stepped back & told him to maintenance it, and the child started out good, but soon he had no plan what he was doing & he could not maintenance the furnace. Out of pity, I came beside him & showed him how to maintenance the furnace… From that day on the child no longer bragged about how much he knew about HVAC.
