Special bonus from Epson for selling more printers

When I was a young kid in high school, I worked in an electronics store for months. I worked on Saturdays and Sundays, and a few days through the week after school. During that time, computers were still very new. They were close to $2,000 for a cheap computer and even more for a gaming computer. Every month we had different sales events and special contests for selling items. One time we had a contest to see who could sell more radios on a Tuesday afternoon. Another time we had a contest to see if anyone could sell the very last phonograph in the store. I remember when Epson printers were really big, because they had a special bonus for 6 months. If you sold an Epson printer with any computer purchase, then you received a $50 Visa gift card. My co-workers and I were trying to push Epson printers to everyone walking through the door. We had to get them to purchase a computer to receive the Visa gift card, but a lot of folks were there to purchase a computer anyways. It didn’t take too much extra convincing to get them to add a stylish Epson printer. The Epson printers were some of the first to offer multi-stage printing and a variety of inkjet colors. It was actually easy to sell the printers, and I made a lot of extra money that summer. I almost made enough money to drive a brand new Mustang off the lot. Unfortunately, I had to settle for making a year of payments instead.
