When we found out they were going a tree lighting downtown we just had to go… My partner as well as I only moved to this section about 3 weeks ago as well as we still assume like tourists.
We hadn’t entirely been downtown yet so we dressed up in our sizzling clothes as well as made a day of it; There was so much to do as well as see.
We ended up walking over 9 miles all around the city. The only downside was that it was so cold. We are not used to such a chilly climate. We would go into the uncommon shops as well as sites just for a change to sizzling up a bit. Thankfully, every shop had a wonderful toiling oil furnace as well as it would get us just sizzling enough to brave going back outside again. As the day wore on, it got harder as well as harder to pull ourselves away from the sizzling stores as well as back out into the cold streets though. To make matters worse, most of the stores started closing up after the tree lighting. Then it got entirely dark as well as kind of spine-chilling. We finally made our way back to our car as well as headed for home. It took 20 minutes before the gas furnace worked in the car though. An hour later, we were home as well as warming our frozen bodies in front of our own gas furnace vents as well as swearing that we were never going back outside again. It took me hours for my toes to thaw out again. We clearly need some warmer clothes if we ever do plan on walking around in this chilly again. Our southern bodies are just not used to these northern winters.
