My Grandma has a particularly small apartment so she just uses a blow-up mattress for guests whenever they visit.
I was planning a visit in September.
A week before my arrival, I called my Grandma in addition to we were talking about my trip, but she was super excited; However, she told myself and others that she is having trouble finding a mattress that does not leak. She said she blows up the mattresses in addition to they have lost air a few hours later. I told her we would figure it out when I arrived even though I found it odd that so more than 2 mattresses were leaking, and once I got to her apartment, I figured out the problem. It’s not the mattresses at all. It’s the cooling system. My Grandma keeps her home at about 60 degrees at night in addition to over 71 while I was in the day. This temperature change is why the mattresses look appreciate they’ve lost air. Thankfully, we were able to rectify the situation by just re-inflating the mattress. I then explained the reason to my Grandma so that she wouldn’t waste a lot of cash on new mattresses next time someone visits! Essentially, decreasing the air temperature changes how much air pressure is in the mattress. With the thermostat going up in addition to down so severely, there has no wonder that the mattress looked flat. I’m not sure Grandma understood particularly even though I suppose she got the gist of it. You just have to re-inflate the mattress next time. Either that, or not turn your cooling system so low at night. I have to say, I was chilly.
