A few months ago, I purchased a hix heat press to make all of the uniform shirts for my company. I was spending a fortune paying a commercial company to make the shirts. At $14 a piece, I was certain that I would save money by printing the t-shirts at home. I found a really good deal on a hix heat press and I ordered it online. The heat press came with step by step instructions and all of the information necessary to get started. We chose a beginner model for a few different reasons. First, it was cheaper than some of the other options. Second, we didn’t have a lot of experience and thought that a basic model would be easier to use. The hix heat press was very easy to use and the transfer process was painless and easy. The touchscreen dials were simple-to-use, and the computer program was user friendly. Unfortunately, we had some problems with the colors running. The very first time that our employees were out in the rain, several of them complained about the red color staining their arms and neck. We had to perform some research, before we realized that we were using the wrong ink in our hix heat press. The next batch of shirts turned out much better and none of the colors bled. I know we are saving money, and I think we have almost paid for the Hiox heat press. Next year, I’m hoping that the company will pay for a label maker. That would save us a lot of time and energy when labeling products.
