My husband loves to cook, but he doesn’t love to clean up.
I don’t mind washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, but I wish my husband would install a better air filtration system for the kitchen.
A few weeks ago he decided to cook some fish that he caught in the stream by our home. The trout were bigger than most and my husband proudly displayed pictures of his catch. He waited until he was at home to clean the fish. All of the bones and fish guts were in our garbage can and a raccoon tipped it over in the middle of the night. The only thing worse than the outdoor smell, was the smell that wafted into the kitchen the morning after the raccoons got into the fish guts. Everytime my guy cooks fish, the horrible odor lingers. It can be overwhelming, especially because the smell of fish makes me want to gag. Even with the exhaust fan removing some of the odors, it still doesn’t help. I told my husband that I want an air purifier installed above the range. One of my co-workers has a chef style kitchen in her home. Instead of a basic exhaust fan over the range, there is an air purifier that removes all of the odors and germs. The air purifier also gets rid of humidity and moisture. I want the same air purification system in our kitchen, but I have a feeling that it will cost a fortune. I still wouldn’t mind calling a contractor to get a free estimate on the work.
