For three weeks, I woke up to having someone looking in my kitchen window. I moved my kitchen to an upstairs room so they couldn’t look in anymore. I was hearing tapping on my living room and kitchen door, and I was afraid to be alone. I called the police, but there was no evidence that anyone was at the house. I talked to my dad and he gave me the number to the surveillance system company that he used. When the person showed up to the upgrade, my dad was there. We had video cameras located all around the house. The two of us had new locks and an alarm system should anyone try to open a window or door from the outside. You also had to turn off the alarms with a code that only me and my parents knew. It was less than a week before I had someone outside my house again. The video surveillance cameras picked up on the movement and started running. They were tapping on my door and rattling the door knobs which sounded the alarm. I held my ears until I was sure they were gone, and then we turned off the alarm. Before I shut it off, I was already getting phone calls from the police. I told them about the video surveillance cameras and how I was able to capture pictures of the two guys. When the police looked at the pictures, they immediately knew who they were and told me I was a lucky woman. I didn’t ask why, although I breathed a sigh of relief.
