The last time I was at our sibling’s house, I noticed that his heating system behaved funny.
Besides the unusual odor that seemed to come out of the heating unit, a closer look at the heating system showed that the heating system burners were heating strangely.
Having repaired our neighbors France before coming over to see our sibling, I knew that this heating system needed special attention. I worked in the Heating, Ventilation and A/C industry, so this would not be a major issue for me, and fortunately, out of habit, I carried our toolbox with me everywhere I went. I rushed to our truck and got a few of the tools I would need to complete repairs. I intended to check the burners and confirm that they did not have any debris on them. I started by checking the sparks, which were not orange and were majorly uneven. This was enough indication that the burners were dirty and genuinely jammed with debris. I switched off the heating system and allowed it to cool before cleaning the burners. All I needed was a vacuum cleaner which I borrowed from our sibling. Besides the duster that had accumulated over the summer time period, the heating system had traces of soot combined with condensation, which affected the heating system’s official functioning. It was also clear that our sibling had not had his heating system cleaned in the annual Heating, Ventilation and A/C maintenance session suggested every season. I made sure to bill him to teach him a lesson to take care of his unit. After all, hiring a professional Heating, Ventilation and A/C specialist is not cheap, and I did not want him to guess that I would always be available to do these favors for him.
