Upgrading the HVAC was easier than I thought

I don’t know exactly why I was caught off guard when the HVAC technician told me that the heat pump was very near the end of its life.

Well of course it was since it’d been delivering quality heating and air for the past 22 years.

That was my brain talking. But the rest of me was taken aback a bit because I just never had a problem with the HVAC unit. That had a lot to do with the fact that the HVAC maintenance, both in the fall and the spring, were always done. Since we bought that HVAC equipment, I joined the HVAC service plan. It was that HVAC service plan that made sure the HVAC maintenance was not forgotten. Had it been left up to me, I might have gotten it done every other year at best. So when we were faced with replacing the HVAC equipment, we were also facing the process of getting it replaced. And that seemed a bit daunting after we spent about 10 minutes online researching the latest in residential HVAC. My wife made the smart move and called the HVAC company. Out came an HVAC contractor who did an inspection of the ductwork and all the HVAC equipment and areas. Then, he sat down and took us through all of our options and helped us break them out by price and HVAC technology. From there, it was essentially picking things out and the HVAC company took care of the rest. We are now enjoying the very best quality heating and air of our lives. It’s just such an amazing thing to go from trepidation to enjoying the latest in residential HVAC.
