I never realized that building a beach house could involve so much stress, but most of the time when your beach house is being built, there is no lock on your door that is protecting your stuff from being stolen.
While this is not usually a problem, it became a huge problem for the Heating & A/C servicemans & the electrician. The electrical wire needed to run a heating system & central a/c is quite thick, which means it has quite a bit of copper inside of the wire. The heating system & a/c were pretty far away from the electrical panel, which means that had to run a long line of this copper wire to run the heating system & a/c. During the evening after the electrician installed all of this wire, someone broke into our beach house & removed all of the wire that the electrician just installed. The copper in the wire is lavish, & they stole it in order to scrap it at some metal site. When the Heating & A/C servicemans came the next day, they had to call the electrician & ask him where the wire was for the heating system & a/c. The electrician swore that the wire was there, however the Heating & A/C serviceman affirmed that it wasn’t there. That is when they figured out that it was stolen, how desperate can someone be to steal the wire for someone else’s heating system in order to make a couple of bucks? He would have only been able to sell it for a fraction of the price to buy it new. I am sure the electrician & Heating & A/C serviceman would have just paid him not to steal it because they had to cover the cost.
