Do you make it a habit of carrying a sweater with you when you have a doctor’s appointment? I know I do.
It is always too cold in the doctor’s office, right? I mean, even when you go in there and see the women who are working to assist the doctors, they are wearing scrubs like normal, but they usually have a long sleeve shirt underneath or a sweater over top.
Have you ever wondered why it’s so cold in the doctor’s office? The answer is easy really. Germs, viruses, and bacteria all prefer to live where there is heating going all the time. Think about your own self, you are 98 degrees inside, and germs love to live inside people. That is why doctors run the AC all the time. If you happen to stop having to sit right under the AC vent, you are really going to be cold. They set the thermostat about 7 or 8 degrees colder than the thermostats in most houses. In other words, they keep the AC running hard to keep the bacteria and viruses at Bay. Have you also noticed that most doctors do not wear a sweater or a long-sleeved shirt under their scrubs? That is usually because despite how much air conditioning is running, they are still working hard. They tried to cram as many patients in as possible so they can make as much money as possible and they have to run from room to room, so they actually enjoy the excessive AC. I have never been in a doctor’s office that was using the heater. Have you? Even when it is winter and the outside thermostat is reading quite low, the doctors are hesitant to use the heating system. They know better than the rest of us do that heating systems make people’s sinuses dry out and encourage sickness.
