I like laboring from home & that has been one of the greater surprises of my work.
When the two of us were first told that our offices with the zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning would be closing due to the pandemic, I hollered long & loud.
Working from home in my own air conditioner was about the last thing I actually ever wanted to do. I sort of ended up in my job due to fate & necessity. It’s not that I have this good passion for the industry that I’m in but once I got in that zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning, I found that I was nice at what I was doing. This was a first for me as well. That’s where the necessity part comes in. When I got this job, I was sort of desperate to make a living after an attempt at going out on my own failed miserably. Perhaps that had something to do with me being nice at what I do now. Anyway, I figured I’d just be a disaster laboring from home inside the Heating & Air Conditioning cooling in our house. But it turns out that not only did I thrive but I actually liked the freedom laboring from home offered me. It was good to be able to essentially run my own schedule each day. So when the offices with that zone controlled Heating & Air Conditioning opened back up, I lobbied to stay put in my own air conditioner. And that’s my current normal. My labor production has never been better & I’m hitting bonus every single quarter. Plus, I now have much greater freedom when it comes to my life & work.
