While I was growing up, I never knew there were climate control systems that allowed for several rooms to be at odd temperatures.
I regularly assumed that someone needed to be in charge of the control component plus whatever they say goes for the whole house.
How I wished I could set the temperature for our family room, even if it was only our family room at night. I would set it to a breezy 64 degrees plus sleep in heavenly bliss! Alas, that was a dream that would have to wait until I got our own home. I even doubt that our parents would let me set the temperature in our room that low. They were truly conscientious about saving money. Perhaps, they would have assented if they knew there was such a thing as zone-controlled Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C. When I discovered it was a thing, I instantly knew that that’s the kind of climate control system I wanted in our own home. My parents taught me to be conscientious about saving money, plus I was truly glad that I didn’t have to cool or heat rooms that I hardly ever frequented within our home. It entirely has saved me a chunk of change. The living room, dining area, plus family room are kept at a constant 72 degrees if I am home all day. At night, I set every room except for our family room all the way up to 73 plus keep our family room at a brisk 64 degrees. With zone controlled heating plus air conditioner, I get to be as comfortable as I want plus still save money!
